There are many reasons as to who a woman, or a couple, cannot get pregnant, carry a pregnancy to term or give birth to a baby. These days, this problem can be resolved successfully with the help of a gestational surrogate.
There are many conditions within infertility, that can mean a woman cannot use her own eggs to get pregnant. For example, this could be due to a lack of egg cells, the impossibility that her egg cells can be fertilized or the presence of genetic conditions that mean a healthy child cannot be conceived, among others. In these cases, the solution is to use an egg from a young, healthy donor. Other cases are same sex male couples or single men who cannot carry a pregnancy themselves. Gestational surrogacy provides any family model with serious reproductive issues, a way to become parents.
At FERTYSURROGACY we offer all families the opportunity to use gestational surrogacy, that is to say to use a generous and healthy surrogate to carry the pregnancy for them during the nine months.
At FERTYSURROGACY, thanks to our network of collaborators, we have a selection programme for surrogates and donors where we analyse their state of health, their medical history and that of their relatives, police and criminal records, etc. Furthermore, they must undergo psychological examinations in order to ensure they have good mental health. This is a rigorous process that enables us to make a correct selection and guarantee the success of the process.
Thanks to our partnership with one of the most important egg banks in the world, Ovobank ID, we can state that just 34% of donors are suitable for undergoing specific physical and mental health tests.
If you wish, you can ask the egg bank to go one step further and carry out a Genetic Compatibility Test (GCT). This analyses the donor’s genetic information with the objective of minimising the transmission of genetic disorders.
Likewise, the majority of candidates for gestational surrogacy do not go on to become a surrogate. The Medical and Psychological Department undertakes a careful selection process in order to decide on the suitability of gestational surrogate candidates.
